Jo Ellen has been in the insurance industry since 1967, with extensive knowledge in underwriting, Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance, and customer service. When Jo Ellen was with St. Paul Insurance company she was tasked with collecting data and making recommendations for program modifications, which ultimately lead to the creation of their PAK II personal lines package policy. She spearheaded teams which were sent out to provide training to resident staff on the new product. In 1990, Jo Ellen spent time with Nationwide Insurance working to develop a hiring and training model for customer service agents that was eventually adapted globally into the Nationwide Customer Service center. In her free time, Jo Ellen likes to go salmon fishing, spending time with her grandson, and cheering on the Portland Timbers!
Commercial New Business Specialist
Robert Eilers current role, to provide Case Management for Errors & Omissions Claim Prevention; these duties include Expert Witness Case Testimony Services. Robert joined IIABA, Non Profit, in Alexandria, Virginia as the Case Manager of Errors and Omissions (E&O) loss control. Eilers worked closely with Westport and 50 state associations to manage the Big “I” Professional Liability Program’s loss-control activities, driving deliverables including course content for the National E&O program course, conference speaker, and instructor for the National Train the Trainer Class.
Eilers incorporates into the teaching curriculum updated Claims Coding methodology by addition and rewriting over 350 lines to the Coding program, and wrote the handbook, “Claim Coding Operations Definitions.” Eilers has held the Certified “Education Provider/Case Manager,” for Office of the Insurance Commissioner in Washington, while owning his school located in Totem Lake Kirkland, WA. Eilers also served as a State Certified Independent Instructor for the governmental body located in Olympia, WA the “Department of Insurance Licensing.”
Previously Eilers served three years as Territory Marketing Director, for Builders and Tradesmen’s Insurance Services. The Victory Program is “A” rated program of General Liability Insurance. Eilers introduced the program in Washington and appointed over 178 agencies that produce today $7, 000,000 in premium volume. Builders and Tradesman’s Insurance Services was sold to AM Trust while remaining a company leader in the GL marketplace for Washington.

Having been born and raised in Vancouver, WA Kim is proud to be a lifelong Clark County resident. First licensed as an agent in 1995, Kim has enjoyed many years in insurance with some time out while raising her family. Kim greatly enjoys people and finds helping them navigate their insurance needs very rewarding. In her off time, Kim enjoys her family, the outdoors, and roller skating whenever possible!
Andrew has an extensive background in sales and customer service, including serving 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. Andrew joined the Insurance Industry in 2015 and has a passion for helping business’s and his community. Andrew has worked as a Personal and Commercial lines agent in both Oregon and Washington. Andrew has his Property and Casualty license in Oregon and Washington. Andrew is originally from Eugene, Oregon and in his spare time he enjoys to traveling, hiking and watching documentaries.

Melissa is originally from the Pacific Island of Guam, but has lived the last 12 years in Vancouver WA. Being a personal lines producer in Guam and having over 25 years’ experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge in this field. Melissa enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Paula has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. She spent her first 10 years as a personal lines advisor and CSR and then became a commercial lines account manager for the last 15 years. When not working Paula loves to travel and spend as much time as she can with her grand-babies.
Scott has been involved in the insurance, banking and financial industry for well over 25 years, both at the corporate level, as well as a company owner. In addition to Columbia, he has a portfolio of companies engaged in Commercial & Residential Real Estate, Property Management, Commercial Child Care, Derivatives Trading and Quick-Serve Franchising. Because of the complexities and risk exposures encountered by business owners such as himself, Scott wanted to design an organization capable of handling ALL of the insurance and financial needs of other entrepreneurs in a similar position. Over the past several years, Columbia has been able to assemble a number of seasoned professionals with one goal in mind – Wealth Management and Wealth Preservation. Whitney serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Columbia Insurance Group and Columbia Wealth Management, and as such, oversees all operations. Whitney understands the importance in protecting a business and its assets. She is passionate about educating her staff and clients on the various resources & programs available to them. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Whitney became a co-franchisee with a major national brand and ultimately spent 4 years working for a Franchisor as part of their Marketing team. Whitney’s experience as both a franchisee and current insurance professional, allows her to connect, educate and relate to you from a businessowner’s perspective, thereby giving Columbia Insurance Group the insight and ability to build out the strongest and most cost-efficient Risk Management Strategy for each Franchisee. Whitney and her husband Mike have two children, Avery and Austin, and reside in Vancouver, Washington.

Macy has always had a natural passion for education. She received a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Foundations at Central Washington University along with a minor in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Non-Profit Administrative Management. Macy's enthusiasm for education and outlook on life has made her an integral part of the Columbia Insurance team! In her down time, Macy loves to play basketball and bake cupcakes. She also likes giraffes and spending time with her dog, Ryder the Great Dane.

Shad's long and distinguished career in Sales and Marketing & Account Management spans some 30 years. His transition to our team as a multi-state Commercial Agent has been a perfect fit.
Originally from Utah, Shad has lived in Idaho, Washington, Hawaii, and Italy.
Shad loves spending quality time with his wife, two daughters, and three sons. He also enjoys running, cycling, hiking and traveling. Shad is fluent in Italian and one of his hobbies is cooking gourmet Italian cuisine for his friends and family (you want to be his friend). He also spends time giving back to his community through working with youth groups and doing service projects to help those in need.

She loves working with clients to educate them on the importance of risk management and ensuring they understand the coverage's the need to properly protect their family. Melissa and her husband have been married for 13 years and have a set of twin boys, and one daughter. In her spare time she loves reading, cooking, and going to the beach!

Lena joined Columbia Insurance Group in 2011. She comes from an extensive 30+ year customer service background in the printing industry. Lena was born and raised in Battle Ground, WA and loves the laid-back lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. She is a big golf fan and her biggest thrill to-date was attending the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay in University Place, WA.
